Question 21: How Do We Get Rid Of Health Insurance Companies?

Health Insurance companies are the reason no one can afford health insurance. They have way too much power. President Obama has been paid off by them. He has no intention on getting rid of the insurance companies. Way too much money involved. In this country money talks. It’s very sad and the majority of people in the US suffer because of it.

Right now I can not afford health insurance but if I could this is what I would do. I would only take out a major medical insurance because if something really bad happened to me I would be covered if I had to go to the hospital. My health is good and I do not run to the doctor for every little thing. Those who do have health insurance are paying for the people who are really sick. The majority of people do not have serious health problems. Therefore most people who pay health insurance premiums are paying for the sick to be taken care of. Think about it. If you have to pay $300 to $500 a month for health insurance and hardly ever use it, you are throwing your money in the trash. Why not put that money in a savings and when you do have to go to the doctor negotiate with them on the cost because you don’t have health insurance and pay cash. You will save tons of money and the insurance companies won’t be getting rich off your money.

Something really needs to be done to the insurance companies. We are the only ones who can do this. If you are healthy, cancel your insurance policy. Take out only for major medical and pay for your doctor visits and what medication you would have to take as you go along. You will see what a difference you will make to your pocket book and we will finally put the insurance companies in their place. Our government won’t do it so we have to.

This would work but people are too afraid to cancel insurance policies because of the possibility of getting injured or having some serious disease. This problem has to be solved at the government level. We must demand a change in the way the U.S. handles healthcare.
